FTG v7 - They say that some minds never grow old

Shreyas Puranik (25th February 2005) -- They say that some minds never grow old. Forfeit The Game Version 7.0 is a honest piece of evidence that supports that statement. When Version 6.0 came out, I had the honour of reviewing this awesome site but now, 4 months later, Pete Crewdson has given the users another spanking layout.

Version 6.0 saw the Forfeit The Game Website open its already ajar doors to its users even more. The start of a Street Team and a revamped forum gave users the chance to really interact with the website and other fans. In fact, Version 6.0 was more than just another layout. It was a brand new layout with more goals in mind with the user being the number One priority. Additions to V6.0 included an update each day and a special web log, which allowed Pete to expand the site as he commented on events such as MSN and The FA Cup-Who can forget one of the very first entries about Manchester United playing Exeter City! This was the real sign that the website can appeal to all users and not just hard-core music fans.

V6.0 held a lot of weight as it had an emotional feel to it too. With the name of the layout being Dedicated, the website was one of the first Linkin Park Fan sites to offer support to those affected by the tragic Tsunami Tidal Wave. In addition to this, it was also one of the first websites to reveal the kindness of the band as they formed Music For Relief. The website’s very own Street Team was also launched and now, users can turn their love for Linkin Park into a special privilege as the Street Team operates from its very own website located at www.ftgst.co.uk. The website has its own forum which allows members to up date and help fellow street teamers to promote and as some has said, “conquer”.

The site has always kept the users in mind as new competitions and ideas keep flowing in. One of the finer competitions from the site was the special Post Collision Course Competition with the prizes including the Numb/Encore Single which has just been certified Golden Platinum at the time of writing.

So what’s different in Version 7.0? The layouts changed to a new blue look and more new content is expected all the time with a complete Linkin Park Timeline scheduled to be constructed. The Video Synopsis and Reviews are also to be completed and who knows what more amazing content Pete Crewdson has in store for his website. And last but not least, the now vanished LP Q&A is due to re appear on our browsers as Crewdson revealed that he intends to put it on his site.

I said it on the last review and I’ll say it again-Roll On V7.0
