Aaron Lewis is the lead singer/songwriter of the contemporary rock band Staind. Staind started their musical career around 1994 and have since gone on to release 4 albums, selling over 8 million records worldwide between them. They released their first album "Tormented" in 1996 under an independent label, and after meeting with Fred Durst in 1998, were signed to Flip/Elektra records, where they released their debut album "Dysfunction" (still widely regarded as their most competent effort to date). In late 2001 they joined the Family Values tour, which is where they met Linkin Park. They also released their 2001 smash-hit single "Outside", and "Break The Cycle" album, which went on to sell over 7 million copies worldwide. In 2004 the band shot back into the mainstream with "14 Shades of Grey", launched by the single "Price To Play" which hit the top ten in the Alternative, Active and Modern rock charts. The band are currently in the studio recording their latest album, set for a March/April 2005 release.
Out of all the vocalists that featured on the album, Chester has been known to say that Aaron was his favourite, because of the way their voices blended, and how well they harmonised on the track.
